The Little Prince book cover
The brief was to design a new cover for The Little Prince, aimed at a grown-up target audience instead of children. I chose the readers of self-help books, since the story has so many wise and educational undertones.
For the design I chose a sentence from the book as an example of this and illustrated this with the use of scratch-off paint. This way I could get the reader involved in the book right away and give it a good idea of what kind of content they could find on the inside.
When the paint was scratched you don't really get a lot more than a quote back for it, further illustrating what the quote is about.
